THE AWARDS OF THE 16th NAJ, NAJ, NAJ FESTIVAL, 18-23 March 2016

After viewing 14 performances at this year’s 16^th Naj, naj, naj international festival, the jury members, Helena Buljan, actress, Bojana Radović, theatre critic, Kostadinka Velkovska, actress, Mia Mitrović, theatre critic and Saša Božić, director, have awarded Golden Fire birds (Žar ptica) in the following ten categories:

1. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST PERFORMANCE goes to Mini teatar, Ljubljana, co-produced with the Prešernovo gledališče Kranj, Slovenia, for the performance of ‘MEET YOU AT NOAH’S ARK AT 8’.

2.  THE AWARD FOR THE BEST DIRECTOR goes to MILAN TRENC for the performance of ‘EMIL AND THE DETECTIVES’ by the Zagrebačko kazalište mladih.

3. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST ACTRESS goes to AMANDA PRENKAJ for the leading part in the performance of ‘PINOCCHIO’ by the City theatre Žar ptica.

4. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST ACTOR goes to DAMIR KLEMENIĆ for the leading parts  in the performance of ‘UNTOLD STORY’ by the City theatre Scena Gorica.

5. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS goes to MARIJA ŠEGVIĆ for supportive parts in the performance of ‘THE PRINCESS AND THE SWINEHERD’ by the Theatre Smješko.

6. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR goes to MARKO HERGEŠIĆ for the supportive part in the performance of ‘NO, NOT YOU! OR ABOUT THE SO-CALLED *DIVERSMENT*’ by the Theatre Mala scena.

7. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST SCENIC DESIGN goes to MILJENKO SEKULIĆ for the performance of ‘THE SHOEMAKER AND THE DEVIL’ by the City Theatre Trešnja.

8. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST COSTUME DESIGN goes to NEVEN MIHIĆ for the performance of ‘PINNOCHIO’  by the City theatre Žar ptica.

9. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST MUSIC goes to MATEJ MEŠTROVIĆ for the performance of ‘DINOSAURS’ by the Theatre of the Blind and Partially Sighted ‘New Life’

10. THE AWARD FOR THE BEST VISUAL IMPRESSION goes to the State Puppet Theatre Sliven, Bulgaria, for the performance of ‘THE TINDERBOX’.
